I'm considering a backpack from Mill Creek up to Lightning Point, then down to Deer Spring, along Pacoima Canyon, up to Mendenhall Road, and on toward Gold Canyon to Big Tujunga Road. The USFS page says it's closed, but I thought they opened Strawberry Peak Trail. I know the Upper Big T part is closed, but what abou the Colby Cyn and Red Box Trails to the peak?

Anybody know what the ruins used to be near Mt. Pacifico Campground?

Has anybody been up to Big Buck Trail Camp since the fire? What does it look like? Did any of the trees make it?
