Re: A Burial for My Beloved Frog

Awww, Mr. Rodney. Sorry about your frog friend. :(

I was thinking this was kinda twisted, but the same sort of thing happens in my fish tank all the time. One of my snails died the other day... I didn't have to feed the Hermit Crabs all week! Also, someone gets a new brand new home.

Re: Winter Boots

I have the same question, I'm in the exact same position (minus already owning crampons)

It'd be best to try all this stuff on... anyone know of a "nearby" outfitter I should be saving my gold coins to visit? Mammoth? Lone Pine? jTree? (REI??)

Anyone? :D

Re: Speed traps

I couldn't think of a possible reason to have headlights on there during the daytime - Any ideas??? I believe this is related to head-on collision statistics on two-lane and thin-median'd dual carriageways. Apparently there are less collisions if you have your lights on. If you travel smaller roads...

Watched the whole thing from some nice girl's crash pad last year... I'm excited about SEATS and wind protection... and not driving an hour north of Ojai

A short entry from last year... Worth reposting:

Make sure to close em up tight, Pat. If your dog has the torque they'll come off or turn around.

FWIW I liked these better on the girlfriend's dog than then other brand we have now.

"SGMDF"

Currently the heading for the forum is "SGMDF". I'd suggest leaving it in long form.

It's cool... but anyone finding the site - say through a eispiraten sticker - may wonder what the hell is going on and just leave.

Excuse the claustrophobic noob question, but how the heck do you find your way out of those places? Do you leave a trail of bread crumbs? Haha! Well, first it's easier than it looks in the video. Second, if you truly are turned around you can generally detect a "trail" where the rock unde...

20101128 Caves of the Mojave

Not very San Gabriels - but I threw together this little video and wanted to share. Over Thanksgiving weekend a buddy and I visited some caves in the Mojave desert with members of the Southern California Grotto. We had an amazing trip trying to both get dirty but keep the cameras clean. The first ca...
