Ha.... i took cerro gordo road. “The old yellow grade” which is a public road that briefly cuts through private property at the top. via Fish Creek/chute Sat night stormy with 2 inches of new snow out of nowhere.. Got to the ridge here (10,000ft) and fell asleep for 2 hours and said screw it its too far away still... starting Where the 2 and 39 meet its just around the bend .5 miles or so(heading down 39). I was just there today and noticed that cabin... I also found tons of really old bottles and rusty sardine cans on the ridge leading up to the top.. I was there friday night saturday ... conditions are rought unless you have snowshoes... worst postholing... I was on my way to baden powell sat morning but only made it to islip... The road is closed after Kratka but isnt plowed after Islip saddle... making it difficult to get to Baden powell witho...

If I were search and rescue I would ask the party if they were in good health and then tell them to go figure it out..... What's up with all these pre-rescue rescues?? its like people are so lazy as soon as they become disoriented or feel challenged they give up like "ok I quit, can I be rescue...
