Bear canyon - Bear Ridge - Verdugo - Lucas Canyon - Oak Flats and back. trail is well maintained until about a mile down the verdugo trail it gets a little washed out and the trail could use a good trim. Only took me 4.5hrs to go 14 miles because I really wanted to beat the rain.
got a little wet in a misty drizzle at oak flats while I tried to sneak around the scary longhorn cows... as tried to scoot around the edge of the potrero something large hissed at me from the brush so I got out of there.
interesting area, but i really want to explore the San Mateo canyon area I'll have to suck it up and drive down the south main divide to fisherman's camp trail head and check it out.
