I was planning on doing the day hike up whitney-won the lottery for June 18 with my son. He was severly hurt in a fall up Cucamonga Canyon and while he is making a full recovery-will not be able to do ANY hiking this year-his friends and myself will wait & re-apply next year. The Ranger has said that they would transfer the "Leader" to someone else due to the nature of reason. We put in for 6 people

I live in Rancho Cucamonga, work in Santa Fe Springs & travel to Rancho Santa Margarita 2-3 times a week so can meet someone anywhere along that track.
