How much should your pack weigh in proportion to your body weight? What's reasonable? What's excessive?

I try to develop some "ground rules" for how much a person should carry based on their body weight. See: Proportional Pack Weight.

I used to be 330 lbs...I'm now 230lb. body weight can also affect pack weight. I think. At 330 lbs it was a lot more important to minimize any weight. I.e., pack weight...easier to lose pack weight than belly fat. I like the measure of your calculations. I estimate that 30lbs is about good for me.
