Last Wednesday I hiked with my favorite group. We were in the San Rafael Wilderness (Los Padres National Forest). We hiked to Fish and Manzana creeks. It was supposed to be a car shuttle but since we had a small group we did two separate hikes. First, we parked off Happy Canyon Rd and scrambled down a used path into Fish Creek. We found lots of pools and two small waterfalls. I always have the best time with this group when we are together. Whenever there is water it's a guarantee that we all get soaked resulting in a battle of men vs. women. All in good fun of course. After exploring Fish creek we drove to Nira Campground. We began our trek hiking above Manzana creek until we found a nice area to dip into the pools again. It was a gorgeous day with amazing clouds, beautiful streams and lots of wildflowers.

Then the water fights began. I was the only female that day but I made the first move and got him good.

We found another small waterfall after scrambling down some rocks.

I was soaked from head to toe but I still had a smile on my face.

It was a good day for water sports. I was on Timber Mountain and it felt like the real first day of Spring.
