Last Sunday after the Goat Tressle trail, I met my friends in Warner Springs. We hiked some of the PCT to Eagle Rock. It starts out as a beautiful shaded trail for the first two miles then it's exposed the last mile to the summit. The day was overcast but very cold and windy. Nevertheless, the 6.5 round trip trek was worth seeing huge Eagle rock formation.

That's a very eagly "Eagle Rock"! A bit better than the one in NELA probably. And WAY better than the one in the Santa Monicas. That one isn't eagly at all.

Thanks for the pics, good to get an idea of the actual hike. It's such an iconic photo from PCT hikers, I've wanted to go visit myself.

Great little hike out there. Isn't it crazy how the rocks come together. From other angles, just a jumble of rocks.

I wasn't aware that this was an iconic photo for PCTers. It is pretty amazing. You should go and check it out.
